April 6, 2020

I hope you are staying safe and healthy during this unique time. I’m writing to update you on the state of Crystal Ballroom. It has been a difficult decision to lay off our employees and close the ballroom during the paramedic and it seems as though social distancing measures and this virus may be here for months longer. To be clear, we anticipate being able to endure this difficult patch, and will extend all your dance packages accordingly after we are able to fully reopen.

In the meantime we thank you for your continued patience and cooperation as we try to navigate these circumstances. We strongly support the proactive social distancing measures put in place as it is best for the safety of our dancers, staff and the community at whole.

We also understand how the pandemic has shifted some of your daily schedules and made dancing difficult outside of the confines of your kitchen or living room. Our team is hoping to bring some dancing joy back to our dance community in this time of gloom. We would like to offer exclusive dance floor rentals to those who are looking to dance safely under social distancing guidelines.

WE WILL BE REOPENING TO EXCLUSIVE RENTALS STARTING APRIL 15, 2020!

Rental options (Maximum 4 people in each hall):

  1. Exclusive Usage Large Hall – $80/hour (Minimum 2 hours)
  1. Exclusive Usage Small Upstairs Hall – $50/hour (Minimum 2 hours)

Each rental will include

  • Separate entrance
  • Separate bathroom
  • Bluetooth Speaker Usage
  • DJ Service available upon request
  • 2x 335ml Water Bottles

In order to follow the social distancing guidelines encouraged by the federal and provincial government, all the halls, bathrooms and other high touch surfaces will be sanitized between every rental. Although staff will not be seen on arrival, masks and gloves will be made available for the comfort of guests.

We also offer date night and special event packages. Please see our Exclusive Rentals page for more details. We look forward to welcoming you back to the ballroom and hope to resume normal operations soon. We wish our dancers, teachers, staff and community the best of health and wellness.
