What should I expect in the consultation?
The complimentary consultation is an important part of our wedding dance lesson booking process. By arranging a time for you and your fiance to come in, this is the opportunity for us to fully understand your wedding goals and answer any questions you have right off the bat. We don’t hesitate when it comes to supporting our wedding couples! We’ll already be guiding you from song selection to talking about your dance floor size.

We then give you a brief lesson to access your dance level and how well you take on instruction. Based on your goal and the brief lesson, we can then pair you with the right instructor and the right package that meets your needs.

Our consultations are also a fun, relaxing way to get to know our instruction style as well. You’ll have a choice of packages to move forward with at the end of the consultation that best matches your wedding timeline, complexity, and more.

You can expect to be in the studio for 30-45 minutes during your consultation.

Do I have to have prior experience?
Not at all. Whether you’re doing your first ever waltz box step or refining your natural turn, we’re prepared to help you reach your wedding dance goals. Most of our couples were brand new to ballroom dancing prior to their wedding dance lessons and are successful and comfortable by the time their wedding day comes.
When should I begin wedding dance lessons?
We advise couples start getting their wedding dance lessons 3-4 months prior to their wedding. This will us a good timeline to work with most choreography. For those who want more elaborate choreography, father and daughter dances, bridal party dance, etc, we recommend starting 4-6 months prior to their wedding.
How many lessons do I need?
It depends. During the consultation, we ask you about your goals and we assess your ability to move and take on instructions. Depending on where you both are at, what you wish to acheive, your schedule and the time we have till your wedding, we will tailor a package that suits your needs. We are invested in your dancing and want what’s best for you.

Most wedding couples take an average of 6-10 lessons, though we have done smaller and larger packages. The average couple take 1 lesson per week. The main takeaway is we are both your dance experts to guide you and we are flexible to your needs. The more you can share with us during the consultation, the better we can serve you.

Help! I need last minute help with our wedding dance!
We get that sometimes you are on the fence and decide last minute to have some instructions and we are here to help. We have choreographed wedding dances with a VERY tight timeline. We will discuss with you the possibilities if you have a short timeline and work with you and your fiance to make it as stress-free as possible for your big day. As time is of the essence, contact us today!
How much are wedding dance lessons?
Our wedding lesson fees can vary depending on your needs, the number of lessons recommended, and the instructor. Typically, you can expect $110+ per session. Full package fees are discussed at our free consultation.
What should I wear to my lesson?
For your first consultation / first few lessons, please feel free to wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Shoes should be suitable for indoor use meaning they are clean with unmarking soles. Please observe the studio etiquette in the About Us page which gives suggestion on attire suitable for ballroom dancing.

After your first few lessons, we recommend bringing in the shoes you’ll be wearing on your wedding day. We typically advice against open back sandals or heels overly high heels. Shoes should support your body and make it safe to move across the floor. Your instructor will be able to offer more guidance should you need it.
